This is an outline of our site wide Privacy Policy. The owners and writers of this website shall be known as ‘us’, ‘we’, or ‘the Site’. The users shall be referred to as ‘you’, ‘visitors’, or ‘the User’.

Our Audience


We serve a general audience, and as such the posts, pages, content and materials on this site are not specifically intended for anyone under 13 years of age.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of underaged internet users, and will delete any  information accidentally collected from anyone under 13 years of age as soon as we are aware of it.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with our spam detection procedures.

An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here:

After we approve your comment, any profile picture you upload is visible to the public in the content of your comment.

The User should exercise caution when using comment forms, as information posted here becomes public. The Site is not liable for damages or losses incurred from information shared publicly by the User on the Site.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

The data is collected through Third Party analytics software, and is collected automatically from each visitor to the site (unless otherwise blocked). This data is viewed as an aggregate, and we aren’t looking at individual visits.

Who we share your data with

Like many sites we use third party analytics services to collect this data anonymously in order to better understand who is reading the site and make improvements to our content.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Gadgetry Today does not currently allow user registration or collect this personal information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
